Why should I get more involved with the PN2K Foundation?

Phyo had many friends not just within the MIT community but outside MIT. He had varied interests and many causes he cared about. In setting up the endowment fund, we want to make sure that we are supporting causes and clubs that he cares about. 

How can I get more involved in The PN2K Memorial Foundation?

We're glad you asked! There are many ways to contribute to the greater PN2K community, and we welcome everyone.

Join Pledging for Phyo

A volunteer advisory group to be formed in Spring/Summer 2018 that advises on where the endowment funds should be used. Consists of people who will donate funds to the endowment fund to reach $100K and $250K for a scholarship fund set up in Phyo's name. Learn more. 

Intern with Us

Volunteer your time with us on a project or idea. Internships require an idea and implementation of the idea. We have had three interns (Yaoming D., Tonica M., Dingfang Z.) as of Jan 2018 and are always open to future interns. Let us know your great ideas by sending mail to pn2k-bikesafety-owner@mit.edu.

The PN2K Memorial Foundation carries out its charitable mission with its dedicated volunteers who have in total dedicated thousands of hours to helping the PN2K community. We rely heavily on the manpower, skill, time, energy, and generosity of volunteers to push our nonprofit towards greater heights and establish fundamental groundwork. Organize an Event

Create a Fundraising Campaign

All fundraising campaigns must be approved by PN2K administrators and will be featured on our website. Be the host of your own event with your school or group. Demonstrate your talent, run a 5K, perform, sing, or host a one-day donation drive and donate your proceedings to PN2K. See an example campaign.*Do not donate to fundraising campaigns that are not linked to our website.

Join as a Foundation Officer

Foundation Officers exercise the highest care of The PN2K Memorial Foundation. Officers have fiduciary responsibilities and an obligation to act in the best interests of the nonprofit foundation. All Officers are inaugurated on August 8th and serves for at least one year.

Our Board of Advisors are comprised of highly-skilled and experienced individuals who volunteer their time and resources to guide our teams to success.
