MIT PN2K OFFICERS
All officers of this organization must be distinct people and current MIT students:
- President/Co-Presidents
The president/co-presidents will coordinate with the directors of PN2K, Inc., the President(s) is in charge of making sure that MIT PN2K activities align with the missions of the PN2K foundation. The president should work closely with the directors of each team to understand and oversee operations and make decisions when conflicting viewpoints arise.
- Treasurer
The treasurer shall be responsible for the finances of the group, including preparing financial reports during the year as asked by the directors of PN2K. The treasurer is required to sign all checks/vouchers of the group and keep an exact account of all receipts and expenditures and report them to the PN2K Corporation Treasurer and PN2K Corporation Co-Directors.
- Bike Ambassador Coordinator
The bike safety ambassador coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing the two annual bike safety programs, once during the fall semester (orientation) and another during the spring semester. They will be responsible for coordinating all communications with MIT departments, programs, and other MIT organizations.
- Educational Programs Ambassador Coordinator
The educational programs ambassador coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, organizing, and implementing work with existing partners of PN2K (e.g., including MIT student group Amphibious Achievement, as outlined in the PN2K-MIT AA Terms and Conditions agreement) to promote education, literacy, philanthropy and sportsmanship.
- Marketing Officer
Manage and work with the marketing committee to test out creative ways to market the PN2K brand, develop product lines, and promote PN2K visibility (including the use of social media outlets and newsletters, videos, or other materials).
- Webmaster
Manages the IT infrastructure, including development of MIT PN2K website and related IT infrastructure.
- Human Resource Officer
Recruit new members into MIT PN2K; once the teams are formed, HR ensures positive team dynamics through social events and group bonding activities (e.g., annual retreats).
- Finance/Logistics Officer
This person will be responsible for the logistics of products ordered for MIT PN2K, including managing the flow of goods; they will help to book room for events, review our budget, help to prepare when MIT PN2K applies for group funding, maintain receipts, collect money from fundraising events, etc.
- Fundraising Officer
Manages the fundraising team and works with local community partners to organize fundraising events towards our bike safety and youth scholarship initiatives.
MIT PN2K COMMITTEES
MARKETING COMMITTEE
There are two main divisions in the Marketing Team:
- Product Design Team (product promotion): This team will work on product design for promotional materials and bike-safety accessories, like wristbands, bike lights, and bike helmets. They work on branding, product placement, and look & feel.
- Promotion Crew (PN2K promotion): This team will be responsible for visibility of MIT PN2K to the MIT community through promotional materials, social media, developing and distributing newsletters at events, etc. This can include talent in photography and videography.
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
- Members of the Fundraising Committee - Responsibilities: Members of the fundraising committee will maintain relations with local partners to plan and run our fundraisers; they are also expected to be proactive in developing new partnerships within the community. Members might also be liaising with the umbrella PN2K organisation to prepare and submit grants on behalf of MIT PN2K.
